Jonas Imer is not only our Chief Financial Officer, but one of the co-founders and innovative minds behind YES.
Jonas grew up in Denmark and at fifteen, moved to France because of his father’s work. Upon his arrival, he was unable to speak a word of French. Remarkably, after three years he had not only learnt the language, but achieved his High School diploma with Honors. After graduating from university with a Masters in International Relations and then working for the Danish Embassy, he decided to follow his passions and move into the language training industry.
After almost ten years of work with one of France’s main training providers and familiarizing himself with the financial aspects of professional training, Jonas joined Stylianos Antalis to develop the YES project.

In March, YES’s International Director Daniel Fischer participated in a trip that was organised by the FFP: Fédération française de formation professionnelle. The aim of the journey to the Maghreb region was to better understand the structure of the private training sector in Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco and to meet with local companies to explore potential partnerships for the different groups.
Happily, the trip was a success and a partnership agreement was signed between the FFP and the National Chamber of Tunisian Private Training Structures in the presence of the Tunisian Ambassador of France in Tunis.

Our YES Trainers are not merely teachers; they are the ambassadors of our pedagogical approach. With solid backgrounds in general education or English as a foreign language teaching, they all have one thing in common: they’ve learnt at least one foreign language. This means that they are able to put themselves in the shoes of the Learner to support them through the sometimes challenging process of learning a language.

What is microlearning? Microlearning is a five minute English training program. From Monday to Friday, YES sends learners an email with a series of engaging and rapid exercises to complete, including: a Word of the Day, Drag and Drop activities and General Knowledge Quizzes to name but a few. Microlearning is perfect for people who wish to stimulate their mind between classes or who simply aim to maintain their level of English language proficiency.

YES provides Heads of Training and HR Managers with the right tools to analyse and follow their colleagues’ ongoing training.
YES offers free access to the pedagogical and administrative data necessary to create key performance indicators. These indicators are presented in the form of dashlets showing information such as: population by level, statistics by post and gender, attendance of Learners (monitored in actual time), progress reports and YES Trainers’ reports.
Our HR platform is also very beneficial as it facilitates the administration of the training: providing attendance certificates, tuition notes, contract history, budget tracking and end-of-training certificates.

Stylianos Antalis, 39, has worked in the area of English language professional training for the past fifteen years and has lived in three different countries, learning three different languages before founding YES – Your English Solution. His experience has made him choose the right people to make it happen, surrounding himself with a young highly- motivated and talented team.
In the few short years after its creation, YES was ranked among the 100 Up-and-coming French Companies of the Year in 2009 and was awarded 1st place in the IT Innovation Award in the state of Hamburg in 2010.

Even though we are very proud of our innovative tools such as our e-learning or microlearning programs, we attach a great importance to traditional face-to-face teaching.
YES’s face to face classes take place at its learning centre or in a virtual classroom. They enable the YES trainer to assess if the learner has assimilated the skills learnt during the e-learning, but they also involve a discussion of subjects relevant to the learner, whether it is a meeting to be prepared, a negotiation to be held or an important e-mail to be drafted.

Throughout three busy yet very exciting and instructive days, we had the chance to take part in the E-learning Expo 2010 that was held ‘Porte de Versailles’ from March 9th to March 11th. We were pleasantly surprised by the positive attention that YES – Your English Solution had drawn. Curious visitors, HR executives, and prospective partners all demonstrated their interest and enthusiasm for our English training solution.
